Terms

Terms and conditions

What you agree to when you buy from us: the pieces, the prices, payment, delivery, returns, and what happens if something goes wrong.

These terms apply when you buy from Qadeem Crafts through this website. We are a craft house in Karimabad, Hunza, Pakistan, selling hand-made carpets, kilims, gemstones, jewellery and homeware. Placing an order means you accept these terms, so please read them first. They were last updated on 28 September 2026.

The pieces

Most of what we sell exists once. A hand-knotted rug or a cut stone is a single object, and the photographs on its page are of that object, not of a sample from a range.

We describe every piece as exactly as we can — dimensions, material, origin, weave, knot density, weight — and the condition notes say so when a piece carries wear, a repair or an irregularity of the weave. Hand-made pieces are measured by hand, and a hand-knotted rug is rarely a perfect rectangle, so allow for small differences from the published size. Colours vary from one screen to the next; if an exact shade matters to you, ask us before you order.

Prices and currency

Prices are set in Pakistani rupees.

An order delivered in Pakistan is charged in rupees, however you pay for it. If you choose to see prices in another currency, that figure is converted at the day's exchange rate to help you compare; the rupee price is the one you pay.

An order delivered outside Pakistan is paid by card through Stripe, in the currency prices are shown in at checkout, converted from the rupee price at the day's exchange rate. The amount on the checkout page is the amount charged to your card, and a refund is made in the same currency. Your own bank may add a fee for paying a shop abroad.

If a price on the site is plainly a mistake, we will tell you before the piece ships, and you can either pay the correct price or cancel for a full refund.

Your order

Placing an order is an offer to buy the pieces in it at the prices shown. The checkout reserves each piece the moment the order is placed, so nobody else can buy it while you pay. We confirm the order by email.

We may cancel an order that is not paid for, or whose payment we cannot verify, and release the piece. If we cancel an order for any reason, we refund everything you paid, in full.

Payment

In Pakistan you can pay cash on delivery, by bank transfer, or by card or mobile wallet through Bank Alfalah. From anywhere else you pay by card through Stripe. Card payments are taken on the bank's or Stripe's own secure page, and we never see or store your card number.

For a high-value piece we may ask for a bank transfer instead of cash on delivery, and we will tell you before anything is sent. An order paid by card or bank transfer is sent once we have checked the payment against the bank.

Delivery

Within Pakistan, delivery usually takes 3–5 working days. Abroad, the freight is quoted by destination at checkout. A rug is bulky rather than heavy, so that quote is a starting figure: if the crated piece prices differently we tell you before it ships, and you can cancel for a full refund. Delivery times are estimates; couriers and customs work at their own pace.

Import duty and local taxes outside Pakistan are charged by your own customs authority when the parcel arrives. They are yours to pay and are not part of what you pay us, and we declare every parcel at its real value.

Until a parcel is delivered it is our responsibility. If one is lost, or arrives damaged, tell us straight away — with photographs if it is damaged — and we will put it right. Rates, zones and packing are set out in full on the Shipping and returns page.

Returns

You can return a piece within 7 days of delivery, in its original condition, unaltered and unwashed. Tell us before you send anything back, so the collection can be arranged — an unannounced return that goes missing in transit is a problem for both of us. We refund you once the piece is back with us and we have checked it.

If a piece arrives differing from its description, the return is free and we pay the freight both ways.

Your account

You can buy without an account. If you make one, keep its password to yourself: orders placed through your account are treated as yours. We may close an account used to abuse the shop or other customers, and we will tell you if we do.

Using this site

The photographs, descriptions and writing on this site belong to Qadeem Crafts or are used with permission. You are welcome to share a link to any page, but please ask us before copying photographs or text for another website or listing.

What we collect and why — including the analytics cookies, and the Microsoft Clarity session recordings made when you allow them — is set out in the privacy policy.

If something goes wrong

Nothing in these terms takes away the rights you have as a consumer under the law where you live. Beyond those, our responsibility for an order is limited to what you paid for it. We are not responsible for losses we could not reasonably have foreseen, or for delays caused by things outside our control, such as customs, strikes, floods, landslides or closed roads.

The law that applies

These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan. If you live in another country, you keep the protections its consumer law gives you.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, and the date in the first paragraph changes when we do. An order is governed by the terms in place on the day it was placed.
